The Zira Platform

The full stack for AI vision products.

Zira is not a camera and not a model. It is the complete ecosystem for building, deploying, and operating AI vision at industrial scale: models built automatically from zero-shot to production, continuous auto-validation, annotated recordings your teams review together, edge computing on Google Pixel and Android, and machine, worker, and vision telematics flowing into one dashboard, one set of workflows, one system. Machinery manufacturers ship it inside their machines. Pallet manufacturers build on it as a competitive edge.

Everything between the lens and the decision

Most vision projects die stitching together a camera vendor, an ML consultancy, an integrator, and an IT project. Zira ships every layer as one system, engineered to work together on day one.

The process

Autonomous inspection, not an integration project

Traditional machine vision means a systems integrator, a lighting study, and a six-month pilot. Zira installs like an appliance, starts working with zero examples, and reaches full validated inspection without a vision engineer on site.

HOUR 1MOUNT

Mount over the line

Cameras mount above your existing station or inside your machine envelope. Your team handles it or ours does, wiring and calibration included. Counting is live within the first hour.

DAY 1ZERO-SHOT

Working before it is trained

Zero-shot models detect pallets, boards, people, and machinery out of the box, with no examples from your line. Auto exposure, region-of-interest, and calibration tune themselves to your lighting and layout.

WEEK 1AUTO-BUILD

Your model builds itself

Upload the spec and confirm a handful of examples. The platform assembles the dataset from your own production, annotates it with assistance, trains, and promotes the model, automatically, from zero to production-grade.

ALWAYSOPERATE

Live, validated, and improving

Every unit inspected, graded, recorded, and logged. Continuous auto-validation watches accuracy shift by shift, and every override feeds the next model version.

AI modeling pipeline

From zero-shot to production, automatically

The complete lifecycle modern vision teams expect, delivered as a managed pipeline any manufacturing engineer can run. You start detecting on day one with zero examples, and the platform carries the model the rest of the way to production on its own. Your data stays yours, your defect classes stay proprietary, and your models compound into an asset your competitors do not have.

ZERO-SHOTDetect before you train

Foundation vision models recognize pallets, lumber, people, vehicles, and machine states with no labeled examples. Useful output from the first hour, and a warm start for everything that follows.

COLLECTDataset from the line itself

Every camera is a data pump. Production images and video stream into versioned datasets, automatically tagged by line, shift, SKU, and outcome.

ANNOTATEAssisted labeling

Model-assisted annotation proposes labels on live recordings, humans confirm. A supervisor can stand up a new defect class in an afternoon, not a quarter.

AUTO-BUILDTraining without an ML team

The platform selects data, trains, evaluates against held-out production imagery, and promotes the winning model automatically. New SKU or new customer spec: upload the spec and the pipeline does the rest.

DEPLOYPush to the edge

One click pushes the model to every camera and Pixel device on the line, the plant, or the fleet. Rollbacks are instant. Versions are auditable.

IMPROVEContinuous learning loop

Misses, operator overrides, and review outcomes flow back into the dataset. The model running your line in month six is measurably better than the one from week two.

Continuous validation & team review

A model you can audit, not a black box

Trust in AI vision is earned per shift, not promised in a sales deck. Zira validates itself continuously against production reality and keeps the receipts: annotated recordings your quality, operations, and engineering teams review together.

Auto-validation that never stops

Validation is not a gate the model passes once. Zira samples live production continuously, scores model output against human-confirmed ground truth, and tracks accuracy by line, shift, SKU, and defect class. Drift triggers alerts and, when you allow it, an automatic rebuild.

  • Scheduled validation runs every shift, on real production
  • Accuracy tracked per defect class, line, and SKU
  • Drift detection with alerting and auto-retrain triggers
  • Every model version scored and archived for audit

Annotated recordings for your teams

Every inspection is recorded with the model's annotations drawn on frame: bounding boxes, classes, confidences, and verdicts. Review queues let QC confirm or override calls, supervisors replay a shift in minutes, and engineering walks a disputed pallet frame by frame.

  • Frame-accurate recordings with overlay annotations
  • Review queues with confirm, override, and escalate
  • Share a clip with a team, a customer, or a claims file
  • Overrides feed straight back into training data

Edge computing on Google

Google Pixel and Android, our default edge platform

Zira builds on the Google ecosystem by default: Android as the edge operating system, Google Pixel devices as our standard deployment hardware alongside the purpose-built Q-7, and Google's enterprise management stack for running fleets of devices across plants. That decision gives you flagship AI silicon on every device, a mature management layer, and a development platform your engineers already know.

Default hardware

Pixel as standard issue

Google Pixel is our default edge device: flagship Google Tensor silicon, best-in-class cameras, and yearly hardware refreshes we inherit for free. Mount one over a station, hand one to an auditor, or pilot a new use case the same day it comes out of the box.

Purpose-built

Q-7 for the hard mount

For permanent line installations, the Zira Q-7 camera pairs a Sony IMX906 sensor with Snapdragon 8 Elite compute in an industrial package: 84 degree field of view, PoE power, and a housing built for dust, vibration, and washdown-adjacent environments.

Silicon

On-device AI, no server room

Inference runs on the device NPU, Tensor on Pixel and Snapdragon on Q-7. Verdicts land in under a second with no round trip to a rack and no GPU cluster to buy, power, or babysit.

Android

Android as the edge OS

Every Zira edge device runs Android, the most deployed and most hardened operating system on earth. Verified boot, monthly security patches, and device attestation come with the territory.

Enterprise management

Google-grade fleet control

Zero-touch enrollment, managed configurations, remote lockdown, and staged OS and app rollouts through Android Enterprise. A hundred cameras across five plants manage like one device.

Development

Build on what your team knows

Standard Android development underneath means your engineers extend Zira with the largest tooling, library, and talent ecosystem in computing, Google's ML stack included, not a proprietary vision SDK.

Telematics & intelligence

Everything the cameras see becomes operating data

AI vision is the sensor. Telematics is the payoff. Every camera and every verdict is logged, recorded, and analyzed in the Zira Dashboard, where machine telematics, worker telematics, workflows, and interfaces run as one continuous flow, from the lens to the decision to the action.

SEE

Vision telematics

Cameras turn images into events: counts, defects, dimensions, states, dwell.

LOG

Record everything

Every event stored with imagery, timestamps, line, shift, and SKU context.

ANALYZE

Zira Dashboard

Live and historical analytics, from a single station to every plant you run.

DECIDE

Workflows

Rules, alerts, review queues, and escalations route the right event to the right person.

ACT

Interfaces

Andon lights, dry contact, mobile and station screens close the loop on the floor.

Machine analytics & telematics

Every machine, measured by sight

No PLC tap required: the camera watches the machine itself. Cycle times, throughput, jams, and stoppages captured visually and classified automatically by cause and duration.

  • OEE, cycle time, and throughput per machine and line
  • Auto downtime classification, no manual logging
  • Jam and fault detection with photographic context
  • Fleet-wide machine health for OEM service programs
Worker telematics

Clean labor data, straight from the floor

Operator hours and station activity captured automatically, flowing into payroll, productivity reporting, and shift planning without clipboards or manual reconciliation.

  • Hours by station and shift, captured automatically
  • Productivity and first-pass yield by crew
  • Feeds payroll and planning, no double entry
  • Communication, tasks, and documents for frontline teams
Zira Dashboard

One pane, every plant

Quality, throughput, downtime, and labor in one live view, from any device, anywhere. Compare shifts, sites, and product lines without exporting a single spreadsheet.

  • Live boards for the floor, rollups for the boardroom
  • Multi-site benchmarking and standardization
  • Defect Paretos, trend lines, and shift reports
  • Roles and permissions from operator to owner
Workflows & interfaces

From event to action in one flow

Detection without action is trivia. Zira routes every event through rules you define to the interface that closes the loop: a light, a relay, a review queue, a phone in a supervisor's pocket.

  • Rule-based alerts, thresholds, and streak triggers
  • Escalation chains by role, shift, and severity
  • Review and approval queues built into the flow
  • Station screens, mobile, Andon, and relay outputs
From verdict to action

Outputs that speak shop floor and machine

A verdict that stays on a dashboard is a report. A verdict that fires a light, closes a relay, or hits a webhook is a control system. Zira ships both ends.

Zira AI Vision Andon

Signals the crew already understands

The Zira Andon stack light brings verdicts to the station in the red, amber, green convention every operator has used their whole career. Built by us end to end, from the enclosure to the controller, and driven directly by the workflow engine.

  • Real-time defect and status signaling at the station
  • Modular color sections, web app control
  • Fires on rules you define: defect type, rate, or streak
Dry contact relay I/O

A physical interface for your machine

The Zira Dry Contact Kit turns AI verdicts into clean relay closures any PLC, diverter, horn, or interlock can consume. This is what makes Zira embeddable: your machine acts on vision without a software integration project.

  • Auto-reject and divert bad units at the discharge
  • Stop or slow the line on repeat defects
  • Wire into existing controls in an afternoon
Data API

Build your own tools on top

Per-unit records with images, measurements, and verdicts are yours through the API. Feed your ERP, build claims-defense portals, tie defect rates to lumber suppliers, or wire quality bonuses to first-pass yield by crew.

  • Per-unit inspection records with image proof
  • Event webhooks on defects and thresholds
  • Multi-site rollups for BI and reporting
System of record

Proof for every unit you ship

Every inspection is logged, recorded, and retrievable. When a customer questions a load, you answer in seconds with annotated imagery. Quality certs, shift reports, and defect Paretos come straight from the line.

  • Resolve claims with per-pallet photographic proof
  • First-pass yield and rework cost, by shift and station
  • Customer-facing quality reports on demand
For machinery manufacturers

Ship AI vision inside your machine

Nailing lines, dismantlers, sorters, robotic stackers: iron alone is a price war. Zira lets you ship a machine that inspects its own output, signals its own crew, and reports its own health, without building a vision team.

  • Embed Q-7 cells or Pixel devices in your machine envelope at the factory
  • Dry contact I/O drops into your existing PLC design
  • Zero-shot plus auto-build means your customers self-serve new SKUs
  • Machine telematics across your installed base powers service contracts and usage-based warranties
